In today's digital age, having a strong personal brand can set you apart from other job seekers. Your personal brand is a combination of your skills, experiences, values, and online presence. 

Use your online professional profiles to showcase your brand and help you connect with people who can expedite your job search and assist you to find a job and move up the career ladder.

Here are four ways to create a personal brand that gets you a JOB. 

Create a personal brand statement. Identifying what skills, experiences, and qualities make you unique. Highlight your strengths. Define what you can offer to employers.

LinkedIn Profile. LinkedIn is essential for job seekers. Ensure your profile is complete, including a professional photo, compelling headline, detailed work experience, skills, and recommendations. Do not sell yourself short, think about all the accomplishments you’ve had in the past, then add the ones that will make you stand out as a professional in your field.  Fill in your experience, employers, volunteer work, and skills. Include any keywords that are relevant to your field or industry. And add any important details that will make you stand out to potential employers and sell you to whoever is checking your profile.

Personal Website or Blog. Develop a personal website or blog to showcase your work, projects, and expertise. Include your resume, portfolio, and relevant content related to your industry or field of interest.  

Other Social Media Profiles. Maintain professional profiles on other relevant social media platforms such as Twitter and professional Facebook pages. Use these platforms to share industry insights, engage with professionals, and demonstrate your knowledge and expertise. The more content you have the greater the likelihood you will pop up in recruiter or employer searches.
