A resume is a document you send to potential employers, In it you summarize
your educational background, skills, and experience. Your resume is the first sample of your writing, so make sure it is well-written, well-edited, concise, and coherent. Without a very good resume getting a job will be a difficult task.
Here are some KEY tips to help you deliver an effective resume.
Tailor it, don't use the same resume for all applications, use a different resume for each application. Your resume should always be tailored to the specific job description of the role you're applying to. If you are applying for a product manager role, don't use the same resume to apply for a program manager role. Take your time to change your resume for each role you are applying for.

Pay close attention to keywords. If you want your resume to get the attention of the employer, be sure to pay close attention to specific keywords. If you’ve uploaded your resume to a job site, keywords and job buzzwords are very important to help a search engine pick out your resume from the pool of applications.
Keep it simple and short. Employers spend, on average, just 8 seconds looking at anyone's resume, and as such, sending them your entire life story is a surefire way of landing your resume on the no pile. Don't start telling all your life history. Keep it short, to the point, and save those little details for the interview. Most experts advise that your resume should not be more than one page.

Use resume building software or AI tools. You don't have to pay someone to write your resume for you, it is something you can do yourself. There are several resume writing software available online. Some of them require a subscription fee before you can use them, but it will be rewarding for you.

Highlight your skills and accomplishments. Your resume is an ideal place to show how your skills of persuasion make you an asset. For example,
Were you able to change a previously accepted practice or institute a new process that had a positive impact?
Did you play a role in improving work culture or recruiting talented new employees?
Did you convince management to invest in a new productivity tool even though it was not approved initially in the budget?
Use the STAR or PAR method to clearly and concisely tell your story.
In conclusion, writing a perfect resume can be one of the toughest challenges when searching for a job.
If there is a gap in your resume, maybe due to covid-19 or any other factor, you can include a course you took within that period. It is not easy coming up with a perfect resume, it takes good research, time, and dedication.
